The Automation Station Process.
Let's take a look at the the process that your customers will go through when shopping for and buying a product at your website. This is the "Automation Station Process" in its simplest form:

1) Your Website.
You can design your website with any of the amazing website building tools included in your ThirdSphere Hosting account, or you can use any of the popular software tools such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Golive or Microsoft FrontPage.
After configuring it, the Automation Station will give you a small snippet of HTML code that you'll paste on your website to create a "Quick Buy" link for your product. When one of your customers clicks on that link, they'll be taken to an ordering form.
2) Automation Station Ordering Form.
The ordering form generated by the Automation Station is hosted in our secure server space and will collect personal information from your customer. The only information it will not collect is their credit card number. Once your customer fills out that form, she will be taken to your billing processor.
3) Your Billing Processor.
Your billing processor is in charge of collecting the credit card information from your customer and processing the transaction. As you read on the previous page, the Automation Station works with different types of processors including third-party processors and merchant account gateways. After the transaction is approved by the billing processor, the customer will be sent back automatically to a dynamically-generated Automation Station Delivery Page.
4) Automation Station Delivery Page.
After the sale is approved, a delivery page will be created on the fly for each transaction. If you configured the Automation Station to deliver the product to your customer digitally, then this page will have the download information. If you are selling a physical product, this page with act as a "Thank you for ordering" page and have the sales details on it for your customer to print out. Additionally, an e-mail will be sent to your customer with all the sales details by both the Automation Station and by your billing processor.
Variations in the process...
What I described above is the process in its simplest form. This process may vary a bit depending on how you configure your Automation Station and where the customer is coming from; for example, if the customer was sent by an affiliate or if he's coming to your website after clicking on an advertising tracker you set up to advertise your site, then some things happen a bit differently. We'll get into these details later, right now let's get the ball rolling and activate your Automation Station account!
